The Malta Food Agency (MFA) was set up to deliver public services in relation to food deriving from farming and fisheries.
The agency was established by the Prime Minister under the Malta Food Agency (Establishment) Order, 2021 (Legal Notice 7 of 2021), in exercise of the powers conferred by article 26(1) of the Public Administration Act (CAP. 595).
Leading quality and valuable local food products to different markets. To move towards this vision and be part of the solution for adding value to food, the Agency works to support and strengthen the transformation of food along the value chain, supporting sales and marketing from production, trading, processing, and food manufacturing.
